Eligibility for becoming a Teacher for the FCCCM (new) and AFIC Examinations

A. Eligibility for becoming a Teacher for the FCCCM examination (new):

1. Candidates who have passed the FCCCM / AFIC examination are eligible to become a teacher for FCCCM examinations without any further requirements.

2. Non-FCCCM passed doctors who spend more than 50% of their professional time in Critical Care may become teachers on completing following requirements:
(a). Attending 4-day Orientation Course for FCCCM.
(b). Attending at least one FCCCM exam as an observer examiner.

B. Eligibility for becoming a Teacher for the AFIC examination:

1. Candidates who have passed the AFIC examination are eligible to become a teacher for AFIC examinations without any further requirements.

2. Non-AFIC passed doctors who spend more than 50% of their professional time in Critical Care may become teachers on completing following requirements:
(a). Attending 4-day Orientation Course for FCCCM.
(b). Attending 4-day Orientation Course for AFIC.
(c). Attending at least 2 AFIC exam as an observer examiner.

Note: If a teacher has no candidate registered under them for 2 consecutive years, their teachership will be suspended and they need to reapply.
